Thanksgiving meal was delicious. As always, hours of preparation for ten good minutes of eating, followed by distended bellies and droopy eyelids. When our binging on turkey, stuffing, potatoes, and roast vegetables was complete we took the kids, and Zevon, for a walk around the neighborhood and admired peoples Christmas lights. At the end of the evening walk we were proud to look upon our home, and its lights, with pride. We splurged on a laser light projector which has green and red lights that dance across our house. We also draped the arbor in the front yard with white lights. There may be a lit reindeer in our future, but that is still up for debate.
This past week was relatively routine. Kids had a break from track, but it will start up again next week. The best surprise was that Fiona and Ethan each got to canter solo for the first time! So exciting! (And a little nerve racking as a parent to watch).
The weather is getting nice and cool (never to be described as cold) and it is actually feeling like Christmas. I am even sitting in front of the fireplace as I write this. I do so miss the smell of a cold grey sky full of impending snow, but am sure that those days are not forever gone...
Gammy and Gampy will be arriving soon!!! December 10th-December 21st we will have them here. We are all excited to celebrate the holiday with extended family.
We went out to sushi last night. Scott and I were joking that we don't remember doing that as kids!
Fiona looks like she just left the office of her job as a CEO.
Great horsemanship guys!!
