What an exciting winter! Meagan turned 50...(let that soak in) and she had her party at our house because we are 5 minutes from where her pickle ball party played out! She rented two courts and a person to guide us and we all gave it a go. My parents, the kids and all of us 40 and 50 somethings. Now I am addicted and try to return to the pickle ball courts twice a week. What's even better is that with my sister so close she can join me! This Thursday mom is sleeping over and Meagan is driving over and the three of us signed up for 3 hours of "ballin'" Theo had a successful trip to a new vet. He had all the ladies wrapped around his little talons. My mom visited back in January and we had a day of exploring the area. Stumbled into a strange mix of shops in what was once a working mill. There is a plant shop that would be my dream apartment. A complete jungle! Scott and I have been enjoying little car dates on the weekends when we bring Ethan to his travel ball practices. They are about an hour and a half in length. The perfect amount of time for a decaf coffee and some good NPR. Looking forward to things warming up so we can take some walks during that time. Also looking forward to Ethan getting his license in May so he can get himself to practice... Fiona ordered what I think is the most elegant dress for prom. It's a two piece and is so lovely! The dance is in April. Let's seeeeeee.... What else? Oh! Yeah! Covid sat its fat ass on our house this month. I am just now starting to feel like myself after a full two weeks of suffering. Suffering through Ethans birthday party and friends staying over...suffering through job interviews...suffering through job acceptance!
Ethan's buddies took trains and buses from Maine to New Bedford for a three day stay. They are all such great kids. I'm so glad he has a strong group of true friends. We took them go Kart racing and to laser tag. I was the picture taker.
I start my new teaching job in one week! I have been hired to work at a charter school in New Bedford. I will finish the remainder of this year as the middle school librarian and next year either fill the middle school art teacher role, or third grade teacher role. I'm excited and nervous. 6th, 7th and 8th graders aren't known for their lovability...
